Miseon YOON — KICHE

Through drawing, painting, and fabric works, Miseon Yoon attends to the porous interior of the self and the collective. Faces glimpsed through car windows or in passing linger rather than disappear, resurfacing as emotionally charged expressions rolled, scattered, and unsettled across the picture plane. In Yoon’s work, recognizing the "other self" becomes a descent beneath the skin of externalized feeling.

Miseon YOON(b.1979) graduated from Hongik University (Seoul) with a B.F.A. in Textile Art. Yoon has held solo exhibitions at Gallery Kabinett (2025, 2022, Seoul), Noblesse Collection (2017, Seoul), Art Space Plasma (2015, Seoul), Gallery May (2015, Seoul) and Gallery Dam (2012, Seoul). 윤미선은 드로잉, 회화, 패브릭(원단 작업)을 통해 '나'와 '우리'의 내면을 살피고, 드러낸다. 그는 차창 밖이나 길 위에서 스쳐 지나간 타인들의 쉬 사라지지 않고 뇌리에 맴도는 이미지, 감정이 배어난 표정을 화면 위로 불러내 쏟아내듯 굴리고, 흐트러뜨린다. 이는 '또 다른 나'를 있는 그대로 인식하는 과정이고, 이로써 외부로 표출된 감정의 피부 아래로 침잠해 들어가는 의식이다.
